MERIDEN - Giuseppe Manciagli, 89, of Wethersfield and Meriden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2014, after a short illness, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Concetta (Quattropani) Manciagli, his beloved wife of 53 years.

Giuseppe was born on Dec. 1, 1924 in Palazzollo Acreide, Sicily; he was the son of the late Nunzio and Marianna Manciagli. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the Hartford National Bank and The Hartford Insurance Co. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield. He resided in Wethersfield for most of his life, recently moving to Meriden to live with his son and family.
Giuseppe is survived by his son, N. John, and his wife, Wendy Manciagli, of Meriden; two grandsons, Adam and Mathew Manciagli, both of Meriden; two brothers, Paul Manciagli, and his wife, Tina, of Rocky Hill, and Jim Manciagli, and his wife, Ann, of Williamsburg, Va.; as well as his sister, Maria Manciagli, of Florence, Italy. In addition to his wife and parents, Giuseppe was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Paulo.
There are no calling hours. A private burial will take place at the family's convenience in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Giuseppe's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield.
