MERIDEN - Marion Margret (Ritchie) Devine was welcomed at the gate of St. Peter by her mother, sister, and daughter on Monday, July 21, 2014.

She was born Feb. 19, 1919, in West Haven, a daughter of William Henry and Angeline Ritchie. An registered nurse, she graduated alongside her identical twin sister, Kay, from Grace Hospital School of Nursing and was employed at Gaylord Hospital, Masonic Home and the Visiting Nurses of Wallingford. She was predeceased by her sister, Kay; her daughter, Sally A. Wells; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Devine.

Among her survivors are sons, Thomas E. Sabin and his wife, Joanne, of Connecticut and Florida, Paul R. Sabin, of Massachusetts, Vincent Devine, of Meriden, Paul Devine and his wife, Lynne Lawrence, of New Jersey; and son-in-law, Steven P. Wells, of Branford. Her grandchildren are Leanne Sabin, Michael (Michelle) Sabin, Allison (James) Smoliga, Greg Sabin, Adam (Melanie) Sabin, Steven(Robin) Wells, Jr., Mickey (Teresa) Wells, Kelly (Carolyn) Wells, Kyle (Kelli) Wells, Kathleen (Donald) Dietle, Christopher (Lisa) Devine, and Michael (Mary Ann) Devine. She is survived by great-great-children, to whom she was known as "great-great," Alex, Olivia and Isabella Orlowski, Tucker and Mason Smoliga, Meghan, Sarah and Abigail Sabin, Olivia and Chloe Sabin, Courteny, Steven III, and Connor Wells, Alex, Naomi and Rose Wells, Christopher Giacco, Kelly and Dallas Wells, Cameron and Alyssa Wells, Nicholas and Benjamin Valinsky, Craig and Karl Dietle, Eric, Kelly, Kyle, Luke and Lilah Devine, Cassandra, Michael and Ryan Devine. She is also survived by one great, great grandchild, Jadiel.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the loving caregivers of The Mary Wade Home and Franciscan Hospice Care, to whom donations may be made.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 11:30 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of St. Paul and St. James, 57 Olive St., New Haven.
