SOUTHINGTON - Rosina "Rose" (Leone) Frascatore, 88, of Southington passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her home. She was the wife of the late Albert Frascatore.

Born Dec. 30, 1925, in Farmington, she was the daughter of the late Tomasso and Natalina (Tribuzio) Leone. Rose retired after 23 years from the Southington Police Department, Records Bureau. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church and an active member of the Southington Calendar House and AARP. She was an avid reader and gardener, who loved to travel and spend time at her winter home in Florida.
Rose was a loving and devoted mother to her children, son, John Frascatore and partner, Diane McCoy, of Southington; and daughter, Joanne Temmel and husband, George, of Stormville, N.Y., and their daughter, Tracy Temmel, of Oceanside, Calif. She leaves behind her siblings, a brother, Albert "Bobbie"Leone, of W. Avon; four sisters, Mary Fasolo, of Farmington, Anita Metivier, of Maine, Jean Bouchard, of Canton and Catherine Lee, of Avon; along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur, Orlando and Thomas Leone.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be prior to the funeral from 8 to 10 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington.
