PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. - Lucas C. Cammarata, 76, of New York, N.Y., beloved husband of Diana Criscenti Cammarata, passed away after a brief illness, Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Lucas was born in Manhattan, N.Y., July 16, 1938, the son of the late Bernardo L. Cammarata and Frances Carbone Cammarata, and had been a lifelong New York resident. He was employed by Verizon Communications, CWA Local #1103 for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Diana, he is survived by his son, Lucas B. Cammarata, and his wife, Janine, of New York; his daughter, Doreen Cammarata-Gilhuly, and her husband Daniel, of Wallingford; his three grandchildren, Shawn Gilhuly, Stephen Cammarata, and Shannon Gilhuly; his sister, Mariann Campos, and her husband, Jorge, of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson, Nicholas Luke Cammarata.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Friday, August 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in The Wallingford Funeral Home, Saturday, August 2, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
