OLD SAYBROOK - Rose K. Walsh (Kendzior) passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at the Weiss Hospice in Middletown, Conn. She was the wife of 69 years to Thomas J. Walsh Sr. Rose was born in Middletown to Catherine and Machiej Kendzior. She had been a lifelong resident of Meriden and Old Saybrook. She retired from SNET as a telephone operator.

Rose leaves behind her husband, Thomas J. Walsh, of Old Saybrook; her son, Timothy, of Middlefield; her brother, Ted Kendzior, and wife, Barbara, of Meriden; her sister, Sophie Daniels, of Florida; her grandsons, Justin and Matthew Walsh and Devon Straway; and four great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very special son-in-law, Charles Adelmann, and sister-in-law, Sarah Walsh. Rose was predeceased by three children, Airmen Second Class Thomas J. Walsh Jr.; William J. Walsh; and Christine Adelmann; as well as her brothers, Frank, George, and Leo; and her sister, Helen.
Rose's family would like to thank the staff at Middlesex Hospital and the Weiss Hospice unit for all their wonderful care.
