MERIDEN - Rose Marie "Ree" Jones Bellard, 54, of South Meriden, passed at home, Tuesday, April 23, 2013, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle against ALS.

Rose was born in Dexter, Maine, Nov. 2, 1958, beloved daughter of Frances Davis Jones, of South Meriden and her companion, Al Kishkum and the late U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran, Glenn A. Jones. Rose attended Sheehan High School and was employed in retail for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling the U.S.A. with the love of her life, the late James Pappallo.
In addition to her mother, Frances, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Kristina Bellard, of South Meriden; her seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Belanger, of South Meriden, Carol Jones and Gaylord Glidden, of Wallingford, Donna and Ed Harvie, of Meriden, Valerie and Ken Fortier, of Orange, Linda Jones, of Wallingford, Debra and Rich Doolittle, of Oklahoma, Shirley Chartland; and her brother, Lenny Mathis Jones, both of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, David (Dede) Bellard.
Special thanks to Dr. Pei Sun and staff, Gaylord Hospital, Masonicare Hospice, ALS Association, MidState Medical Center and the Hospital for Special Care for all of their care and support during this difficult time in the battle against ALS.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Saturday, April 27, from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services and Interment will be private.
