NORTH HAVEN - Kenneth Paul Glenn, 82, lifetime resident of North Haven, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine A. Dunn Glenn, whom he wed at St. Barnabas Church, North Haven on Jan. 26, 1957.

Born in North Haven on June 27, 1930, son of the late William and Ernestine Lussier Glenn; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; had worked for International Silver from the age of 18 until its closing then was employed at Insilco until his retirement. He served as a North Haven Police Commissioner as well as a volunteer fireman. After retirement, he loved to hang out with his buddies at Cecarelli Farm in Northford. Ken was an avid fisherman and shared this love with his kids and grandkids. He held an annual "fish caught" contest each year with his grandkids and son in law. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing in Maine and Vermont. His trip of a lifetime was when his daughter Sue took him fishing in Alaska.
Father of George P. Glenn, of Wallingford, Laurie A. Charboneau, of Meriden, Robbin Powell and husband, Arthur, of East Haven, Susan M. Glenn, of Portland, Oregon and Kenneth P. Glenn II, of North Haven. Grandfather of Ashley A. Spurlock and her husband, Steve, of Palm Desert, Calif., Peter C. Charboneau, of Meriden, George L. Glenn and Jill Adamowski, both of Wallingford, Mark and Daniel Glenn, of Deleware, Arthur J. Powell and Jessica Rodriguez, both of Oxford and Katelyn M. Powell, of East Haven. Great-grandfather of Nathan Glenn, of Wallingford. Brother of Eleanor Sousa and Joan (Ralph) Piteo, all of Florida. Cousin of Nancy Glenn Wilcox, of North Haven, whom when together a good time was sure to ensue. Predeceased by his great-grandson, Jacob Spurlock; and brothers, William and Roy Glenn.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Sunday at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Family and friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
