NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla.-Ada L. Huber, 91, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., died Thursday, Sept.12, 2013, at Hospice with her daughter and son with her.
Ada was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Meriden, Conn.,to the late Anna and John Lappert. She was the youngest of seven children. Ada graduated from Meriden High School and married her high school sweetheart Herman J. Huber. She was a homemaker and worked part-time as a bank teller when her children were teenagers. They raised their family in Meriden in her childhood home, where she and Herman lived for 50 years until moving to Tampa, Fla. They enjoyed much family time with in-laws Josephine and Alois Huber and followed them to Florida. Her husband Herman died suddenly in 1980. She later married Henry Schade in 1996 and who passed in 2011. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Dara Beiro; and her five brothers, Ernie, John, Fran, Louis, and Richard. Recently she moved to New Smyrna Beach, Fla., to be near her daughter.
Ada is survived by her sister, Rose Clark, of California; daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Jim Naylor, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; son, Alan Huber, of Canyon Lakes, Calif.; five grandchildren, Daniel Williams, Ryan Williams, April Candelaria, Brandy Huber and Kris Huber; and one great-grandchild, Jace Huber. She is also survived by her "forever friend", Elizabeth DuBois, of Connecticut.
