MERIDEN - Stephen E. Moffett, 57, of Meriden, died unexpectedly due to a brain aneurism on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Russo-Moffett.

Born in Needham, Mass., Aug. 28, 1956, a son of the late Lawrence and Theresa Ford Moffett, he was a Connecticut resident for over 30 years. He was a graduate of UMASS, Lowell, and was employed by Interstate Brands for 32 years. He was a 24 year member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Wallingford Lodge of Elks 1365. Steve was an avid golfer and fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
In addition to his wife Catherine, he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Marchand and her husband, Timothy; his son, Joseph Gallo and his fiancé, Angelica Couto; his granddaughter, Caroline Marchand; his sister, Linda Guilmet and her husband, Mark; his brother, Lawrence Moffett and his wife, Debbie; his aunt, Joan Wilson; and many nieces, nephews; and special friends. He also leaves his beloved dog, Bella Rose.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wallingford Funeral Home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to his family, c/o The Wallingford Funeral Home.
