Grybko, Robert J. - South Deerfield  
SOUTH DEERFIELD - Robert J. Grybko, 67, of 5 King Philip Ave., South Deerfield, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at home after a period of declining health. He was born in Greenfield, June 21, 1947, the son of Joseph and Susan (Duda) Grybko. Robert was educated in Deerfield schools and graduated from Frontier Regional High School in 1965. He entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam as a Sp 5 with the Field Artillary. Robert was awarded the Bronze Star. Upon returning from the service he drove truck for 36 years for H.C. Kocot & Sons. He was a member of the VFW Post 3295, the Polish American Citizens Club and served as past president. He earned his pilots license and flew several people to Ellis Island in New York to see their heritage. Robert is survived by 1 daughter, Stephanie Grybko of Springfield and 1 granddaughter, Cambria Fortier of Springfield, pre-deceased by a sister Jane (Grybko) Seeley in 1992. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Wrisley Funeral Home Chapel. A calling hour at 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Mass.
