Devino, William J. - TURNERS FALLS  
TURNERS FALLS - William J. Devino, 95, of Montague St. died Friday 3-20-15 at home. He was born in Northampton, MA the son of Joseph and Ethel (Roscoe) Devino. Bill graduated from Greenfield High School, class of 1937. He was a WWII US Navy veteran. Bill was employed at Greenfield Tap and Die for 48 years. He married the former Gladys Saulnier in St. Anne's Church in Turners Falls on August 4, 1942. They had celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary last August. Bill leaves his wife Gladys, a son William P. Devino (Patricia Smith), and a daughter Laurie Devino (Brian Derry). He also leaves his grandchildren, Rebecca Devino and Jonathan Devino (Kathryn), great-grandchildren Samantha Shaw, Clancy Shaw, Lauren Devino, and Lillian Devino, and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Joseph, and a sister, Frances Donovan. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 3-25-15 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church with Rev. Terrence Devino, SJ, Boston College, nephew of the deceased officiating with Rev. Stanley J. Aksamit as con-celebrant. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 a.m. at Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Sheriff's Office Regional Dog Shelter, 10 Sandy Lane, Turners Falls, MA 01376. Dubay, Eleanor (LaPine) - GILL  
GILL - Eleanor (LaPine) Dubay, 87, of Gill died Friday, March 13, 2015 at New England Health Center in Sunderland after a brief period of failing health. She was born in Greenfield on September 8, 1927, the daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn (Fuller) LaPine. She was a graduate of Greenfield High School. After her marriage to John Dubay Sr. in 1947, she devoted her life to homemaking and raising their four children. She was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan, and always enjoyed a game of gin rummy. She loved to bake and was a favorite with all her children's friends after school for her cakes, cookies and pastries. Survivors include her husband of 67 years John Dubay, Sr. of Gill. She leaves 3 daughters; Joan Katsounakis of East Longmeadow, Elaine Malinowski and her husband Edward of Erving and Eleanor Sullivan of Greenfield as well as a daughter-in-law Carrie Dubay of Turners Falls. She also leaves 4 grandchildren. Angie Fletcher and her husband Steve of Guilford, Vt, with whose help and dedication allowed her to stay in her home until the very end, Caitlin Sullivan of Greenfield and Danielle and Nathan Dubay of Turners Falls and 2 great-granddaughters Gillian Fletcher and Kairi West. Eleanor also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her son John Dubay, Jr. in 2001.  At Eleanor's request, there will be no services.
