Sicley, Carol D. - Turners Falls  
TURNERS FALLS - Carol D. Sicley, 63, died at her home in Turners Falls, MA on June 26, 2015. She was born on June 28, 1951 in Pittsfield, MA. Carol was the daughter of Allen E. Sicley, Sr. and Marion Palmer Sicley of Stephentown, NY. Carol graduated from Berlin Central School in 1969. She worked as a secretary before attending Hudson Valley Community College where she earned an A.S. in 1976. She worked as a medical assistant for a cardiologist in Troy, NY and later in Greenfield, MA. She was most recently employed by Franklin County Home Care in Greenfield, MA. She enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks, visiting her hometown of Stephentown, NY and in her younger years she was an avid bowler and loved to camp out with her daughter Marissa. Carol is survived by her parents, her daughter Marissa S. Sicley-Rogers and son-in-law Marc Rogers of Chicopee, MA. She is also survived by siblings Allen E. Sicley, Jr. of Worth, NY, David L. Sicley of Merrimack, NH, Linda J. Carey of East Greenbush, NY, and Donna A. McMartin of Cheshire, MA, as well as extended family and her dear friend Donald Jordan of Turners Falls. Calling hours will be Monday (7/6) from 5 pm-7 pm at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square in Turners Falls, MA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Stacy, Carolyn F. (Burnap) - Shelburne Falls  
Carolyn Faith Stacy was born in Greenfield, MA on December 15, 1925 to Carroll A. and Millicent (Hawley) Burnap. Her family lived in Shelburne Falls where she attended elementary school and Arms Academy. Carolyn spent her senior year living with her sister, Armenta, and her family in Groton, CT. She graduated from Fitch High School in 1944. On June 14, 1947, she married Reuben L. Stacy, who preceded her in death on December 12, 2005. They raised their children in a wonderful neighborhood on Main Street. Reuben and Carolyn enjoyed dancing and were members of the Swinging Sweethearts square dance club. Carolyn was a member of the Rebekahs, a service fellowship of women (affiliated with the Odd Fellows) whose motto was Friendship, Love and Truth. After raising her family, Carolyn cared for several children in the area and was fondly called, STACY, by Peter and Wendy Glawischnig. Many of ""her children"" continued to stay in contact with Carolyn through college, weddings and the births of their own children. Carolyn is survived by her children: Diane (Roger Michaud), Carol, Karen (Stephen Parsons), and Barry (Linda) and grandchildren Gretchen, Tyler, Joseph, Courtney, Nicholas, Dana and Ryann. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Armenta Warner, Earl (Curly), Gaius, Millicent (Stroheker) and Lois. Special thanks to ""Aunt"" Helen Burnap who was Carolyn's sister-in-law, best friend, guardian angel and keeper of appointments and driver for many years. Thanks, also, to the caring and compassionate nurses, chaplain, and staff members of Hospice who were instrumental in allowing Carolyn her wish of remaining at home. Visitation will be at the Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home (Shelburne Falls) on Thursday (July 2) from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be on Monday (July 6) at 10 a.m. at the Arms Cemetery. Stebbins, Mary Ann (Boliski) - Bernardston  
BERNARDSTON - Mary Ann Stebbins, 72 of Bernardston, died Wednesday morning (6-24-2015) at her sister Theresa's home in Northfield. She was born in Montague, Ma. on December 11, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Angela (Lyons) Boliski. She was educated in local schools, and worked for many years as a floral designer at Sigda Flower Shop in Greenfield. She was an avid NASCAR fan, and attended and participated in many races. She won a powder puff race in Arizona. She enjoyed many hours at her camp on Forest Lake in Winchester, NH. Her family was the focal point of her life. She loved all animals, and spending time enjoying QVC Network. She is survived by her sons: Daniel and his fiance Mary Bocon of Bernardston, Michael of Sunderland, MA and Neil and his companion Janice Wosterberg of Millers Falls, MA. She is also survived by her sisters: Theresa Stebbins and her husband Donald of Northfield, MA; Angela Clayton of Greenfield, MA. and Helen Skiathitis and her husband James of Monroe, SC., and grandchildren Branden Stebbins of Turners Falls, MA. and Bobbie Jo Six of Oklahoma City, OK. and future granddaughter Samantha Bocon of Bernardston, MA. and two great grandchildren. Also surviving is her ex-husband Gerald Stebbins, and several Nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 505 Huckle Hill Rd. Bernardston, MA on July 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. There are no calling hours. Stevens, Norman O. - Jacksonville  
Jacksonville, Vt. - Norman O. Stevens passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born on June 29, 1933 in Proctor, VT; the son of Grace and Elliott Stevens of Pittsford, VT. Norman married Stella Allen on June 7, 1958 in Jacksonville. Norman graduated from Pittsford-Barstow High School in 1951, UVM in 1955 and Keene State College in 1970 with a Masters in Educational Administration. He taught at Whitingham HS, Chelsea HS, Chester HS; he served as Principal at Green Mountain Union HS and as Housemaster at Mill River Union HS. Norman held various positions in the Vermont Headmasters' Association and the National Association for Secondary school principals. In 1984, he was selected Vermont Principal of the Year and in 2012 was inducted into the Vermont Principal's Association Hall of Fame. He retired to Jacksonville in 1993. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Unity Lodge #89 and the Whitingham Selectboard. Norman loved his family and was fortunate to have them a short distance from his home in Jacksonville. He also enjoyed gardening & cutting wood for the winter, the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics, and above all, spending time with his family. Norman is survived by his wife, Stella, of 57 years. His children, Michael (Robin) of Jacksonville, Pamela (Kevin) Grimard of Turners Falls, MA, Debra (Steve) Avison of Bondville, VT, Cheryl (Wayne) Hammond of Ludlow, VT, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He leaves his brother Elliott of Rutland, VT and is survived by several nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his sister Eleanor Rawson of Greenfield, MA and Marilyn Stewart of FL. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 8 at the Jacksonville Community Church at 2 p.m. There will be no calling hours, but friends and family are welcome to stop by his home.
