TURNERS FALLS - Bruce E. Galbraith, 54, of Turners Falls, died Friday morning (10-11-13) at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, Ma.
He was born in Weymouth, Ma. on July 24, 1959, the son of Ronald and Edith (MacDonald) Galbraith.
Bruce graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional School in Northfield in 1978. He previously worked at the Book Press in Brattleboro, Vt. and then for many years as cook at Wendy's in Northampton, Ma.
He was a man who enjoyed collecting items, including American Eagles, Classic American Model Cars, Replica Tall ships, sailboats, and Light Houses, Shells and any Nautical items. He loved watching movies on VHS and DVDs. He also collected books particularly religious books, Jig Saw Puzzles and games.
He is survived by his partner Cameron Graves of Turners Falls, Ma., his mother: Edith Galbraith of Gill, Ma., his brother: David and sister Donna Galbraith both of Gill, Ma. He is also survived by his Uncle Dean Galbraith and Aunts Joan Hart and her husband George, and Margaret Weldon, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Galbraith. Four Nieces.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 from the Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave. at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, Main St., Northfield, Ma., at 11 a.m. The Rev. Thomas Lisowski, Pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northfield, Ma.
Calling hours will be Tuesday evening (10-15-2013) from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
