Carroll R. Dodge, 61, of Bremerton, Wash., a former resident of Turners Falls, Mass., passed away on Dec. 11, 2013, after complications from heart disease.
He was born in Montague City, Mass., July 16, 1952, the son of the late Carroll Dodge, Sr., and the late Kathleen (White) Dion. He attended Turners Falls schools.
He leaves one son, Christian Dodge of Greenfield, Mass., and his wife Purnima, along with their grandson, Aiden Dodge; three sisters, Dorena Breor of Turners Falls, Geraldine Cornwell of Erving, Mass., Tina Lawless and husband Kevin of New York; four brothers, Mark Dodge, Charles and wife Gayle of Washington State, Christopher Dodge and wife Yvette of Gill, Mass. and James Dion and wife Ashley of Conway, Mass., along with several nieces and nephews.
Carroll spent many years employed at Millers Falls Tool before moving to Washington state to be closer to his brothers. In Washington, Carroll worked at a family restaurant called Dodge's Eatery. After that he started his own vinyl siding business.
He enjoyed going to casinos and playing in pitch tournaments, also enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. He was a natural handyman and mechanic. He loved to work and fix cars of all types and was a frequent visitor of local auctions.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
