SHELBURNE - Claudette "Gail" (Ouellette) Broughan Bridges, 68, of Colrain-Shelburne Road died Dec. 3, 2013 in Sebring, Fla., where she and her husband wintered for many years.
She was born in Keene, NH, on June 25, 1945 the daughter of Albert and Adelphine (Chalou) Ouelette. Gail attended New Hampshire schools.
She loved horses and all animals and enjoyed car racing and hunting.
Gail worked at the former Lunt Silversmith and the Bendix Corporation. At age 40, Gail went to GCC and obtained an Associate's Degree in accounting which led her to the Accounting Department at the Franklin Medical Center for many years.
Among her survivors she leaves her best friend and husband of 43 years, Bill; two stepdaughters, Wendy Bridges of Greenfield and Shari Amirrezvani of California; several nieces, nephews and cousins in ME, MA, NH and CA. She also leaves a step-granddaughter and a step-great-granddaughter of NH.
Gail was predeceased by her first husband, James Broughan in 1971, and a daughter, Kelly Mae Broughan, in 1991.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday (7/19/14) at 10 a.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St., Greenfield. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Guilford, VT.
Calling hours will be held on Friday (7/18/14) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
