LEEDS - Deane A. Williams, 75, of Leeds, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Monday.
Born Oct. 20, 1937 in Ashfield, he was the son of the late Linwood A. and Helen (Riley) Williams. Deane graduated from Sanderson Academy in Ashfield and then was a post grad of Smith Vocational High School.
He was the owner and operator of D.A. Williams Building Construction for 35 years.
He loved woodworking, furniture making, and restoring antique autos and trucks, he enjoyed his time spent with his Basset Hounds. Deane was also a member of the Western Massachusetts Model T Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jeanette ""Jan"" (Samson) Williams; his son, Glenn Williams of Westhampton; his daughters, Pamela and her husband Roland LeBeau of Chesterfield, Deana Williams of Florence and Robin and her husband Todd Pease of Ashfield; his grandchildren, Chris LeBeau and his wife Amy of Williamsburg, Linwood and Adrian Williams of Leeds, Eric and Kory Williams of Florence, Wyatt Pease of Ashfield, Cody Pease of Greenfield, Raymond Soucy of Holden, ME, Amy LeBeau of Montgomery and Tara Teed of Leeds; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle LeBeau of Williamsburg; a brother, Arthur Williams and his wife Beverly of Ashfield.
At Deane's request there are no calling hours or services.
A private memorial will be at a later date.
