Harlan and Ruth Nye

WILLIAMSBURG - A graveside service will be held for both Harlan and Ruth Nye on Saturday, July 27, at 11 a.m. in the Village Hill Cemetery.
Harlan and Ruth were born in Williamsburg, and graduated from Williamsburg High School.
They were married in 1950 and spent 58 years together before Harlan's passing in 2008.
The Nye Family lived in Ashfield for 11 years where Ruth ran the local post office out of the family's home and Harlan was the town moderator.
Ruth and Harlan are survived by their two sons, Mark Nye of Cornelius, N.C., and Jeff Nye of Leesburg; two grandchildren, Brandon Nye of Tampa, FL., and Falon Nye of Charlotte, NC. Ruth is also survived by two sisters, June Newell of Altamonte Springs and Mary Connell of Williamsburg, and a brother, Sam Bowker of San Antonio, Texas. Harlan is survived by a brother, Herbert Nye of Northborough, and a sister, Irene Noga of Chester, S.C.
The service is entrusted to the Williamsburg Funeral Home; all are welcome.
