HINSDALE, N.H. - Joseph A. Fostyck, 69, of Northfield Rd., Hinsdale, N.H. died Wednesday evening (8-14-2013) at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, Brattleboro, Vt.
He was born in Hinsdale, N.H. on February 6, 1944 the son of Joseph and Annie (Pelech) Fostyck.
Joseph was educated in Hinsdale schools and was a graduate of Hinsdale High School in 1962. He was married to his wife the former Barbara Black on February 25, 1983 in Hinsdale.
He operated the family farm in Hinsdale to the present time. Though farming took up most of his time, he was an avid New York Yankees fan, and enjoyed watching wrestling, (The WWE) on television. He was known to attend many farm auctions, always looking for a deal.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Barbara, and his two sons: Joseph R. and his wife Jacquelyn and Jonathan and his wife Heather, both of Brattleboro, Vt. He is also survived by his sister: Virginia Parker and her husband Warren of Hinsdale, N.H. and his grandson Braydon Fostyck to whom he was affectionately known as "Grampa Moo." He also leaves his beloved Dog, Cody.
He was predeceased by a sister: Lillian Hodgman.
Funeral Services will be held Monday morning (8-19-2013) from the Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave., Northfield, Mass. at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Brattleboro Rd., Hinsdale, N.H.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hinsdale, N.H.
Calling hours will be Sunday evening (8-18-2013) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
