HAYDENVILLE, MA - Leah C Kellogg, 75, of Mountain St, died Friday (11-8-13) at Calvin Coolidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northampton.
Born in Cummington, Nov. 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Dekker) Durkee. She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Leah helped her husband on the family farm. She belonged to both the Williamsburg, MA, and the National Grange.
Leah loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed Christmas. Every holiday she looked forward to decorating her home with her vast number of decorations. She enjoyed travelling cross country with her husband, where they would seek out places with wildlife and beautiful views.
She is survived by her husband, Walter E. "Sam" Kellogg; three daughters, Caroline Eyerman and her husband Robert of Aurora, CO, Wendy Wilde and her husband Jim of Ashfield, MA, and Elizabeth Climie and her husband John of Waterbury, CT; three grandchildren, Nathan Matys of Buckland, MA, Marcus Eyerman and Nicole Eyerman, both of Aurora, CO, and several close cousins.
Calling hours for Leah will be held at Pease and Gay Funeral Home, 425 Prospect St, Northampton, on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Village Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg.
