HATFIELD - Lillian (Kandsz) Skorupski, 86, of Bridge St. died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday Aug. 15, 2013 at the Overlook of Northampton.
Born in Holyoke Nov. 11, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Elizabeth (Smoor) Kandsz.
Lillian graduated from Deerfield High School and attended Northampton commercial college. She worked for JJ Newberry's and Grossman's Lumber in sales and as a cashier.
She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, spending winters in Florida with her husband, tag sailing, snowmobiling, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lillian was predeceased by her Husband Henry "Chicup" in 2006 and her sister Shirley Basara.
She leaves her sons Henry "Sonny" Skorupski and his wife Arlene of Hatfield, William Skorupski and wife Shirley of Hatfield; daughter Carol and her husband John Zalesky of Florida; her sister–in-law Sophie; Five grandchildren Brian Skorupski, Tom Michal, Ron Dutra, Lisa McManus, and Billy Skorupski; four great grandchildren Lillian and Erika Michal, Sean and Kyle McManus and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday August 19, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hatfield at 9 am.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
