BERNARDSTON - Lucy E. Wilson, 93, formerly of Bald Mountain Road, died Tuesday morning (2-11-14) at Poet's Seat Health Care Center in Greenfield.
She was born in Bernardston on March 1, 1920, the daughter of Howard and Bertha (Chase) Wilson. She attended Bernardston schools and was a 1938 graduate of Powers Institute.
She worked early in life for the offices of Dr. F. Wilton Dean in Northfield and then worked at the former Greenfield Tap & Die in payroll until it closed.
Lucy spent many winters in Florida with her brother. She loved baking, crocheting and knitting. She was very active at the Bernardston Senior Center, where she loved to play Scrabble.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her caretaker, Mary Oates of Bernardston, and her dear friend, Abbie Burrows of Greenfield.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at Center Cemetery, Bernardston, at a time to be announced.
