Mildred D. "Millie" (Millerick) Hillis

BURLINGTON - Mildred ""Millie"" D. (Millerick) Hillis, 99 years young, passed peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Lahey Clinic.
Before retirement, she was employed as a secretary at the Pentagon.
Millie was a dancer in her earlier years. In 1939, she became a member of the chorus of Billy Rose's Exposition Spectaculars and performed around New York City. At the same time, she was a member of the American Guild of Variety Artists. Millie could kick up her heels with the best of them into her 90s! She loved to tell stories of her exciting life in ""Show Biz.""
She was the wife of the late Harry Hillis, and the mother of the late John Hillis of Chicago. She was the last surviving child of Benjamin and Bridget Millerick. She is the last surviving member of seven brothers and sisters, namely: Alice Rae, Marie Burns, Peggy Wilmont, Norma Gonyer, Loretta Martin, George  Millerick and Joe McCarthy.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Howland Cemetery, Conway.
