Paraskevi (Ninos) Courpas(1930 - 2012)

GREENFIELD - Paraskevi (Ninos) Courpas, 82, of Holly Ave, died Friday 12/7/12 at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.
She was born in Greece on July 17, 1930, the daughter of George and Sofia (Anousi) Ninos.
Paraskevi lived in New Jersey before coming to Greenfield. She owned and operated her own diner for many years.
Paraskevi was an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Holyoke. She loved to read books.
She was predeceased by her husband Demetris Courpas.
Among her survivors Paraskevi leaves her longtime companion and sister Margarita Mavrikis, a sister Angela Dokelis and her husband George of Baltimore, MD, a sister Angelina Allesi of Italy, two brothers, Manolie Ninos and his wife Fotini of Greenfield, John Ninos of Greece, and many nieces and nephews in Greece, Italy and the United States.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday 12/12 at St. James Episcopal Church, 73 Federal Street, Greenfield with the Rev. Fr. Chris Moody officiating
Burial will follow at Green River Cemetery in Greenfield.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday 12/11 from 5-7 p.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield.
