GREENFIELD - John H. Campbell-Daignault, 66, of Wildwood Avenue, died Tuesday (4-2-13) at home with his partner Derick and Derick's dad by his side.
Jack was born in Greenfield, Nov. 28, 1946, the son of Henry and Gertrude (Wilber) Daignault. He graduated from Greenfield High School then went on to Greenfield Community College where he received his degree in nursing.
John was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran having served as a medical assistant. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star. Jack was honorably discharge in October 1969.
He was a nurse in the emergency room for Baystate Franklin Medical Center for some time then went on as a visiting nurse for Baystate Health Care Systems.
John married his love and partner, Derick Campbell, May 18, 2008.
He loved to travel and relax. John enjoyed the sun, sea and the warm waters of Florida. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time looking for new things to cook.
Besides Derick, John's longtime partner of six years, he leaves many friends that have been part of his life.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
