GREENFIELD - Alfred "Bunk" D. Jarvis, 84, of Countryside passed away Friday November 15, 2013.
He was born in Greenfield on July 21, 1929, the son of Alfred F. and Mary (Bocon) Jarvis. After graduating from Greenfield High School, Al served in the United States Army as a Sergeant, stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home, he married the former Geraldine Landers and they raised their two daughters in Greenfield.
Al enjoyed a long a successful career at the Greenfield Tap and Die and retired at the age of 62.
Besides his wife of 60 years, Geri of Greenfield, he leaves his daughters, Mary Lou of Simsbury, CT, Kelly and his granddaughter Cassie both of Hadley, MA.
Al was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Peloskey of Greenfield.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a date and time to be announced.
