Sunderland, MA- Andre Paul Kapise, 74, of 52 River Road, Sunderland, died unexpectedly on August 14, 2013 at home. He was born in Hartford, VT, January 16, 1939, the son of Henry Paul and Irene (Chabot) Kapise.

He was educated in Vermont schools and moved to Massachusetts in the early 1960s. He worked in tobacco for many years at Consolidated Cigar Corp.
Andy married Dolores Rodriquez in Sunderland in 1999, all their married life was there. In his later years, he worked as a self-employed painter. He was an avid sportsman in hunting and fishing.
Besides his wife Dolores of Sunderland, he leaves one son, Andre Paul Kapise II of Orange, three stepsons, Kelvin Torres of Boston, Andre Torres of Holyoke and Ezequiel Torres of Springfield, two daughters, Diane Calcari and her husband Matthew of Greenfield, Cindy Farmer and her husband Gary of Greenfield, one stepdaughter, Ivette Torres of East Springfield, three brothers, Donald Kapise of South Hadley, Henry Kapise of Athol and Gary Ballargeon of FL, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews.
Another sister, Lynn Smith predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Wrisley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Riddle officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Sunderland.
A calling hour will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
