GREENFIELD - Anthony ""Tony"" G. Armienti, 91, of Shattuck Street died Friday 6/21/13 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility.

He was born in Athol on January 19, 1922, the son of Nicholas and Mary (Torre) Armienti.
He was a graduate of Athol High School and continued his education by attending Worcester State College and Westfield University.
Tony was an air mechanic for the U.S. Air Force during WWII with the rank of Sergeant.
He was drafting and math teacher at the Greenfield High School for many years. Prior to that he was a tool designer for Unitwist-Worthington.
He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield.
Tony enjoyed gardening, golf, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, the former Irene J. Koscinski, Tony leaves a daughter, Jody Wilcox and her husband Richard of Mendon, VT, a sister Mary Onarado of PA, three grandchildren, Michelle Wilcox of Proctor, VT, Daniel Wilcox of HI, and Brian Wilcox and his wife Shelley of Bow, NH, two great-grandchildren, Lucy & Victoria George, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 6/26/13 at 11:30 am at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal Street, Greenfield, with the Rev. Timothy J. Campoli officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Turners Falls.
A calling hour will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
