GREENFIELD - Barbara A. ""Barbie"" (Wood) Sessions Lynch, 68, of Greenfield, passed away on Friday (5-17-13) at Baystate Franklin Medical Center. Born on August 27, 1944 in Greenfield, she was the daughter of Ronald E. Wood Sr. and Pauline (Crawford) Wood.
Barbara was married to John C. ""Jack"" Lynch on Aug. 10, 2001. She was a health aide until her retirement. She loved being outside, enjoying fishing and gardening, and loved animals.
Besides her husband of Greenfield, she leaves her son, Warren L. Sessions of Shelburne Falls; a stepson, John C. Lynch Jr., his wife and their daughter Lea of Hawaii; a stepdaughter, Linda M. Lynch, her husband Francis and their daughter Justina of Haydenville. She also leaves two brothers: Phil Wood and Jim Crawford, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Barbie will be held on Friday (5-24-13) at 11 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 14 High St., with Rev. David Levandusky of the Living Waters Assembly of God Church officiating. A time of visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10. Final committal will be private and at the convenience of the family.
