AMHERST - David R. Chicoine, 50, of Edgehill Place, passed away on Dec. 1, 2013.
Born in Northampton and the son of John E. and Ruth E (Messier) Chicoine of Southampton.
David was a self-employed contractor who owned and operated Dave Chicoine Construction Services.
He was a 1981 graduate of Hampshire Regional High School and a member of the Grace United Church in Northampton.
David was an avid outdoorsman and loved motorcycling, snowmobiling and cycling.
Besides his parents John and Ruth Chicoine, he leaves his wife, Kim (Carew) Chicoine; a son, Morgan Mathison of Hinsdale, MA; three stepchildren, Matthew Baxter of TX, Danielle Aquinas-Enriquez and her husband Jorge and Samantha Baxter, all of Boston; two brothers, John P. Chicoine and Thomas S. Chicoine, both of Southampton; two sisters, Mary Chicoine Praus of Greenfield and Anne Lafontaine and her husband Robert of Williamsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for David are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton.
Funeral services are private.
