CHARLEMONT - Donald R. Clark, 71, of 280 Zoar Road, died Monday, Dec. 3, at home.
He was born in Greenfield, Oct. 19, 1941, the son of Royce and Alta (Griswold) Clark. He attended Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and served two tours of duty, retiring in 1979 after 20 years of service. His commendations included the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
His last place of employment was Goly's Garage as a mechanic.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as cooking.
Survivors include three sons Cliff Clark of Texas, Jason Clark of Charlemont and Aaron Clark of Kentucky; one daughter, Arlinda Clark of Kentucky; three brothers Douglas, Dennis and Tom Clark, all of Buckland; three sisters, Amy Herzig of Colrain, Bonnie Armitage of Williston, Fla., and Elaine Thomson of Hawley; one granddaughter, Madeleine Clark of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
There are no services at this time.
