TURNERS FALLS - Eugene ""Jack"" R. Leveille, 88, of Chester St. died Sunday (12/29/13) at the Buckley Healthcare Center in Greenfield.

He was born in Montague on September 27, 1925 the son of Eugene N. and Esther (Lenois) Leveille.
Jack graduated from Greenfield High School the class of 1944.
Jack was a certified steamfitter and welder in Union 104 in Springfield for many years. Later he was a foreman for the DPW in the Town of Montague for seven years.
Earlier in life he enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating with his family and was an avid sports fan. Jack also enjoyed motorcycling. After retirement he and his wife purchased a home in Hobe Sound, Florida, spending many winters there.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene J. and his wife Marcia J. of Northborough, MA and James M. and his wife Karen E. of Easthampton, MA, one daughter, Carol A. Leveille of Holbrook, MA, four grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Nicholas and his wife Victoria and Christopher, three great grandchildren, Aiden, Ella and Theodore and several cousins.
Jack was predeceased by his wife the former Elizabeth Killelea in 1997. He was reunited with his childhood sweetheart the former Frances ""Libby"" Denison who predeceased him in March 2013.
Funeral Services will be Monday (1/6/14) at 11 a.m. at Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square in Turners Falls.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
A calling hour will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
