Helen Rotkiewicz Chmil, 97, of Bayonne New Jersey, a former resident of South Deerfield, MA, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at the Holy Name Medical Center, Teaneck, NJ.

She was born Aug. 11, 1916, the sixth child of Catherine and Leon Rotkiewicz. Helen attended Deerfield schools and then moved to Brooklyn, NY, following her three sisters who had moved to New York City.
Helen's survivors include two daughters, Patricia Chmil of Bayonne, NJ, and Arlene Katzenberg of New York, NY; two granddaughters; one brother, Stanley Rotkiewicz of South Deerfield, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Peter, Joseph, Edward, Leo and William Rotkiewicz, and three sisters, Lena Zubil, Rose Godek and Ann Marciniak.
Helen's husband Andrew ""Henny"" Chmil passed away July 10, 1987.
Funeral services occurred on December 13 along with burial at the St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY.
