Helen H. Juchnicki, 95, of Little River, SC passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, December 27, 2012 after a short illness.
She was born on February 19, 1917 in Whately, Massachusetts, daughter of Stanley and Adella Helstowski. She lived most of her adult life in Massachusetts where she graduated from Bay Path College with a major in business. She was an accomplished artist who studied oil painting for 60 years, and exhibited her works in galleries in New England and the Carolinas. She and Francis, her husband of 51 years, retired to South Carolina where she continued painting and gardening. Helen often spent summers in Mystic, Connecticut.
Helen leaves behind her daughter, Jane Ellen Juchnicki Bonner and her husband Roger of North Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister Tessie Yazwinski of South Deerfield, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Wanda Helstowski of Whately, Massachusetts and 10 nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Francis and brother Stanley.
Helen was a member of the Christian Science Church, and a life member of the Rosicrucian Order AMORC where she served in many capacities. She dedicated her life to nature and the study of mysticism. A devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend, she will be greatly missed for her kindness and generosity.
There are no calling hours, and burial will be private.
