Karen A. Sak, 41, of Hartford, passed away unexpectedly at home on Feb. 15, 2013.
She was born in Greenfield, MA, on April 26, 1971, the daughter of the late Juliana "Babe" Sak and Chester P. Sak. She was educated in Turners Falls, MA.
Karen moved to Connecticut in 1991. She earned her C.N.A. Certification in 2008, and was employed by Walnut Hill Care Center in New Britain.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a very devoted and loving companion, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be especially remembered for her kind and loving spirit, and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her fiance of 8 years, Jesus "Tito" Irizarry; her daughter, Ashley Williams-Sak; stepchildren, Marissa and Justin; her granddaughter, Azaria Dejesus; two brothers, Kevin C. Sak and his wife Theresa of Bristol and Gary M. Sak and his wife Carrie of Turners Falls; a nephew, Jacob Sak of Turners Falls, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., New Britain, CT.
