GILL - Senior Master Sgt. Lawrence Vincent of Gill, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2012.
The Guest Book is expired.
He was born in Conway on Oct. 4, 1934 to William and Grace Vincent.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lacey, earlier this year.
Larry leaves two children, Lori and Kevin, and two stepchildren, Lisa and Kelly; several brothers and sisters, locally Joyce Hepburn and Richard Vincent. There are also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Larry was a decorated veteran having served in the Air Force. He served honorably in Korea and Vietnam. The military then asked him to teach new recruits survival skills while fighting in the jungles of Asia. His service to our country and the love of citizenship defined who he was.
Larry's passion for our country and the outdoors was contagious. His love of fishing and hunting where shared with many family and friends. His heart remained hopeful and full until the end and he passed peacefully.
The family would like to thank the staff of Buckley HealthCare Center for not only the professional care, but for their compassion to Larry and his family.
In lieu of donations or flowers, Larry would request that you honor a veteran. Thank them for service to their country and their sacrifices. It is also quite possible that he would want you take some friends fishing.
