GREENFIELD - Leon A. Casineau, 84, of Greenfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Baystate Medical Center.

He was born in Springfield on Dec. 27, 1928, a son of the late Alfred and Bertha D. (Pepin) Casineau.
Leon was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and received the WWII victory ribbon.
He was the Dining Hall Supervisor for 15 years at Northfield Mount Herman Prep School and was also employed at Vassar's Automotive in Greenfield for over 20 years.
Leon is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie Casineau and her partner, David Adamson of Ashfield; two brothers, Charlie Casineau and Lawrence "Joe" Casineau, both of Springfield; a sister, Lorraine Sullivan of St. Louis, MO; a grandson, Justin Huber and his wife Annie and their son Noah, all of Athol; his former wife, Diana Croteau and her husband Robert of Ludlow, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Rites of Committal will be held on Friday, June 14, at 3 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
