SOUTH DEERFIELD - Lucy A. Baranoski, 86, of 114 Lee Road, So. Deerfield died Sunday evening, December 9, 2012 in Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.

She was born in Whately, September 10, 1926, the daughter of John and Martha (Swaiowsky) Zuron. She attended Whately Schools and Deerfield High School.
Lucy was married to Frank Baranoski in St. Stanislaus Church, April 19, 1945 by Rev. John Langow. They were members of the former St. Stanislaus Church, and made their home in So. Deerfield. She enjoyed her flowers and her garden along with doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by four sons, Frank Jr., Richard "Rick" and his wife Deborah, David and his wife Carol, all of So. Deerfield, and Thomas and his wife Donna of Athol, one daughter, Diane Clough and her husband Dale of Northfield, and one brother, Richard Zuron of Deerfield. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lucy was pre-deceased by her husband Frank in 1964, her brother Roger Zuron and her sister Steffka Zuron.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Wrisley Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Church celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Phillippe Roux. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7pm.
