GREENFIELD - Raymonde M. (Begin) Scott Pollard Coppez, 84, of Pine Street, died Thursday (10-3-13) at home. She was born in Quebec, Canada, on Oct. 9, 1928. She attended local schools in Canada.
Raymonde was employed for many years at Greenfield Community College in the Accounting Department. For a period of time, she was a bookkeeper for the WESCO Electric Company and the Franklin Community Action Corporation.
She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and enjoyed painting, art, gardening and golfing.
Among her survivors, she leaves her husband of 10 years, George Coppez; three sons, Richard M. Scott, Sr. and his wife Tina of Greenfield, Douglas J. Scott and his wife Mary of Lusby, MD, and George Coppez and his wife Peg of Easthampton; two daughters, Patricia Klopfer and her husband Robert of Holyoke and Diane Craven and her husband Jack of Easthampton; a sister, Jeanine Rondeau of Ste. Foy, Quebec, Canada, eight grandchildren: Richard M. Scott, Jr., Jennifer Boyce, Shannon Leach, Peter, Mark and Eric Coppez , Jennifer Provost and Robert Klopfer; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday morning at 10 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Greenfield. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery in Bernardston.
Calling hours will be Monday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St., Greenfield.
