GREENFIELD - Alice B. (Benoni) Bonneville, 84, of Bonneville Avenue, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, March 20, 2014, with her family by her side at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

Born in Conway on Dec. 24, 1929, Alice was the daughter of Placido and Florence (Caron) Benoni. Alice was a graduate of the former Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, Class of 1947.
Alice was employed by the New England Telephone Co. (later NYNEX and Verizon) as an operator for 25 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers - Denver Chapter, and was the secretary for many years, a position she held at the time of her death.
She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed baking.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Joseph E. Bonneville, Jr.; a son, Joseph E. Bonneville, III of Greenfield; a daughter, Ann E. Bonneville of Belchertown; five sisters, Constance Olszewski and Marie Croteau, both of Turners Falls, Eugenia Suits of Berthoud, CO, Anita Skaggs of Magnolia, Delaware and Dianne Benoni of Athol; a brother, William Benoni and his wife Ann of South Deerfield, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, especially the family dog, ""Ace,"" and the family cats, Leopold, Domino and Smokey.
Alice was predeceased by a brother, Placido ""Butch"" Benoni, in 1996.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
