WINCHESTER, N.H. - Linda A. (Christian) Hicks, 57, of Harbourt Drive, passed away Tuesday (4-29-14) at the Langdon Place of Keene.

She was born in Montague on March 29, 1957, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Zak) Christian. She was a graduate of Turners Falls High School, Class of 1975, and continued her education at Greenfield Community College.
Linda was employed by Montague Machine Company as director of the Human Resource Department for 15 years. She left the company to become a full time mom. She later became a volunteer at Northfield Elementary School as a substitute teacher for many years, and worked in the cafeteria until her retirement.
Linda was a wonderful, loving and caring person who always looked to helping others. She loved animals, watching the birds, taking walks and she especially loved spending time with her husband and daughter, her best friend.
Among her survivors, Linda leaves her husband of 23 years, Robert F. Hicks; her daughter, Jennifer C. Hicks, both of Winchester, and her mother, Helen Christian of Turners Falls.
She was predeceased by her father, Charles Christian, on Nov. 6, 2001.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (5/6) at 9:15 a.m. from the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church with the Rev. Charles J. DiMascola, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
