SHELBURNE FALLS - William H. MacDougall, 74, of Water Street, died Friday (5-9-14) at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.

Born in Hazel Hill, Nova Scotia, on May 9, 1940, he was the son of the late James and Violet (Strachan) MacDougall.
Bill graduated from Hazel Hill High School and relocated to Attleboro, MA, in 1958 to take a position with the Henry Lewis Company.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for many years.
Bill was retired from Hardigg Industries where he was a machinist for over 25 years.
Survivors include his life partner, Rolande Curtis; son, Steven MacDougall and his wife Barbara of Lathrop, CA: son, James MacDougall of Greenfield; grandson, Steven MacDougall and his wife Briana and their daughter Madison of Franklin, TN; grandsons, Jonathon and Julian MacDougall of Lathrop, CA; grandson, Christopher MacDougall of Colrain; granddaughter, Tiffany MacDougall of Conway, and sisters, Marion Fougere, Margaret MacDougall and Helen Jerrott, all of Nova Scotia.
Bill was predeceased by an infant son, Timothy; sisters, Mary Morris and Ann MacDougall, and brother, James MacDougall.
Calling hours are this evening from 6 to 8 at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church St., Shelburne Falls.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Arms Cemetery.
