John M. Wallock (1923 - 2014)

WINCHESTER, N.H. - John M. Wallock, 91, of Warwick Road, Winchester, N.H., died Thursday afternoon (6-19-2014) at Applewood Healthcare Center, Winchester, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in West Hartford, Ct., on May 28, 1923 the son of John and Florence (Cuvelier) Wallock.
John served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II as a Crew Chief. After World War II his family purchased the Warwick, Mass. general store where he served as Post Master. He then established a motorcycle repair business in Warwick, and in 1948 moved the business, Johnnies Sales and Service, to its current location in Winchester, N.H.
He was married on July 22, 1956 to the former Esther ""Sue"" Lincoln who survives him.
He acquired over the years an extensive collection of Ford Thunderbirds, Edsels, and Mustangs. He was a member of the Winchester American Legion. He was also an avid race fan, going many times to Indianapolis for the 500 and Daytona.
He is survived by his wife Esther ""Sue,"" and his brother Theodore C. Wallock Sr. and his wife Kristin of Winchester, N.H. and sister-in-law Rosemary Lincoln-Clark of Athol, Mass. and many nieces and nephews, including Andrea McComb and her husband Paul, and Theodore Wallock Jr.
Funeral Services will be Saturday (6-28-2014) at 2 p.m. at the Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave., Northfield, Ma. The Rev. Charles Bordonaro, Pastor of the Northfield Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, N.H.
Calling hours will be Friday evening (6-27-2014) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
