GREENFIELD - June Priscilla (Smith) White, 80, a resident of the Weldon House, died Monday (7-7-14) at Buckley HealthCare Center.

Born May 9, 1934, she was the daughter of Charles W. and Doris E. (Clapp) Smith. She was a 1952 graduate of Greenfield High School and was very active with the class reunions.
She was a member of the Eastern Star, Lady Oriental Shrine and First United Methodist Church. June worked for the Greenfield Public School Dietary Services for 30 years.
June was married to the love of her life, Roy P. White, on Jan. 11, 1953.
She enjoyed bingo, watching Red Sox and Patriots games, participating in all the grandchildren's sports, knitting to make prayer shawls and playing cards with dear friends, Betty and Joanne. June will be remembered for her warm smile and gracious nature. She touched the lives of all that she met and left a lasting impression of her beautiful spirit.
She leaves behind seven children: John A. White and wife Karen of Greenfield, Karen M. White of Turners Falls, James A. White and wife Sherri of Turners Falls, Burt H. White and wife Nancy of Turners Falls, Sherry J. Chaffee and husband Kenneth of Colrain, Charlene E. Levin and husband Stephen of Warwick and Wendy L. Baird and husband Jeffrey of Northfield. She is survived by 14 loving grandchildren: Melissa Harris, Kimberly Richardson, Jodi Gromaski, Andrea White, Aaron White, Jaimee White, Jill Chaffee, Alex Chaffee, Matthew Bitzer, Nicole Bitzer, Kati White, Jeremy White, Camden Baird and Brody Baird, and five loving great-grandchildren: Kaylee Richardson, Kelsey Richardson, Kaylee Harris, Lillian Harris and Morgan DeLuca.
June was predeceased by her husband, Roy P. White; her brother, Donald C. Smith, and her son known as Little Jimmy.
The family will receive guests for calling hours on Friday, July 11, at Walker Funeral Home from 9 to 11 a.m., then proceed to First United Methodist Church for funeral services. Burial will follow in Green River Cemetery.
