SUNDERLAND - Joseph M. Cochrane III, 88, died Monday evening, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Cozy Corner Nursing Home.

Born on April 21, 1924 in Boston, he was a son of Joseph M. Jr. and Annie C. (Brady) Cochrane, and grew up in Boston, where he became a well known musician.
He married the late Mary Baker.
Joseph had been a 70-year member of the Boston Local Musicians, No. 9535, and had also served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Celia's in Boston.
He leaves a sister, Catherine Cordery of Erving; a brother, Robert Cochrane of Mansfield; a niece, Christine House of CT; and a nephew, Stephen Cordery of Northfield.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial Mass will be held at a later date and time.
Private interment will be in Center Cemetery in Erving.
