Swanzey, NH - Norbert Hudson, 85, of Homestead Avenue died Thursday, Feb. 7th, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Mr. Hudson was born in Hinsdale, NH, on Oct. 30, 1927, the son of Alonzo and Marjorie (Aldrich) Hudson. He attended schools in Walpole and Westmoreland, NH, and worked for Eastern States Farmers Exchange, owned and operated the Hudson Farm in Walpole and worked for Capital Plumbing and Heating.
He also served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Hudson was a member and former Exalted Ruler of the BPOE #1619 in Bellows Falls, VT. He was also a member of the American Legion in Keene, NH, and the Cheshire County Farm Bureau, where he served two terms as president.
In Keene, NH, on Oct. 13, 1950 he married Norma (Perham) Hudson, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Gary Hudson and wife Kerry of Westmoreland, NH, Gail Ainsworth and husband Tom of Westmoreland, NH, and Jean Hudson of Canaan, NH; his brother Maitland Hudson of Westmoreland, NH, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16th, at the United Church in Westmoreland, NH.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home.
