GREENFIELD -William C. Terounzo, 67, of Plantation Circle, died Monday (2-11-13) at home.
He was born in Greenfield on April 24, 1945, the son of Forrest and Ethel (Bryant) Terounzo. Bill attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School, Class of 1963. He continued his education by attending Wentworth College and GCC.
Bill owned and operated Bill Terounzo Lawn Service, Etc. for many years. Prior to that, he worked at the Erving Paper Mill for 26 years.
Bill was a member of the Greenfield Lodge of Elks, the Republican Masonic Lodge and a member of the NRA.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a T-ball coach for over 25 years and was instrumental in building Murphy Park. Bill especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Among his survivors, Bill leaves his wife of 43 years, the former Deborah Whitman; two sons, Mark W. Terounzo and his wife Silvia of Northfield and Michael Terounzo of Greenfield; two daughters, Marsha Odle and her fiance Brian Pelletier and Michelle Demers and her husband Eric, all of Greenfield; 10 grandchildren, Alisha Mueller, Eric, Kyle and Jasmine Terounzo, Shayla, Dylan, Austin and Ryan Demers and Hayley and Madisyn Pelletier; a brother, Alan Terounzo and his wife Lavinia of Myrtle Beach, SC; a sister, Marlene Terounzo of Greenfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (2-18-13) at 10 a.m. at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 220 Federal St., Greenfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
