SHELBURNE FALLS - Jeanne (Boeckman) Dadmun, 84, formerly of Ashfield and Greenfield, passed quietly on Tuesday (10-8-13) at home. Born in Buffalo, NY on June 14, 1929, she was the daughter of August and Henrietta (Drechsler) Boekman. She was a graduate of Fosdick-Masten Park High School.
The Guest Book is expired.
After school she moved from Buffalo and resided in Long Beach, CA. It was there that she met Alan Dadmun and moved to Greenfield, where she raised her four lovely daughters: Judith Anne of California, Carol Allyn of Greenfield, Elizabeth of Conway and Kimberly of Shelburne Falls.
She was employed as office manager at Dillon Chevrolet until her retirement. While raising her children, she was a member of the former First Baptist Church of Greenfield. An avid reader and talented painter, she was seen yearly as one of the ""Sunday Painters"" at the Ashfield Fall Festival. She was also a volunteer for the Shelburne Falls Senior Center.
Jeanne is survived by her four daughters, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Betty of Buffalo and many cousins, nieces and nephews from all around the country. She was predeceased by her husband Alan, her brother Robert and her sisters Dorothy, Anne and Ruth.
""Live every minute of every day to the fullest"" was what she believed in, and all who knew her saw that she set that example.
