David Morningstar, 57, of Colrain passed away Dec. 14, 2013 at his home of natural causes.
Born in Keene, NH, David lived throughout New England and beyond until settling in Colrain. He was a deeply spiritual person who promoted self-esteem and well-being to anyone around him. He loved nature and all it had to offer and had a keen photographic eye. His artistic flair drew him into a hobby of buying and selling antiquities, and later into metal detecting.
David was an avid self-taught musician who became an accomplished flutist, composing, performing and recording many of his own pieces. He enjoyed sharing his love of music with friends and other musicians. He enjoyed reading spiritual books and sharing their benefits with others.
For his occupation, David restored historic homes and structures preserving their original beauties with much detail.
As he moves on to a higher level, David leaves 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 nieces, and many close friends and acquaintances who were blessed by sharing time and space with him during his life.
Johnson Funeral Home in Shelburne Falls will be handling arrangements.
An outdoor service for all will be held in the spring to celebrate the life of David A. Morningstar.
