Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. at the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery for Aureliano (Al) Gutierrez. Al passed away on Tuesday, October 22. He was born in Lindsay, CA where he lived all his life. Before his retirement, he worked for the U.S. Dept. of Forestry and as a farm machine operator. He served in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army's 25th Infantry Division, 35th Infantry Battalion. He fought in battle at Hill 1062, Sniper's Ridge, Punchbowl, and Heartbreak Ridge.

After his service he came home to Lindsay to be a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Olivia of 58 years, his daughter, Ann Zike, (Jon); his son, Larry Gutierrez; his granddaughters Justine Zike, Melissa Salais, (Johnny); Jaqueline Gutierrez; 5 great-grandchildren and his sister, Tillie Avila. He is preceded in death by (3) sisters, Hermelinda, Pauline, Vera, (1) brother, Perfecto and a granddaughter Jennifer.
