Bowen, Richard L.  
The funeral service for Richard L. Bowen, age 80, of Washington CH, was held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. Military honors were accorded by the Fayette County Honor Guard consisting of Chuck Snyder, David Fredrick, Mike Curl, Jack Smallwood, Elaine Stallsworth, Shelton Litton and Cliff Puckett under the command of Bill Foody. The flag of the US Army veteran was folded by Paul Sands and Charles "Buck" Harris and presented to Mr. Bowen's niece, Debbie Yoho. Taps were sounded by Stephen Zastrow. Pallbearers for burial at the Washington Cemetery were Gib, Mike and Mikey Yoho, Danny and Nick Johnson, Brian Rardin, Ron, Andy and Dennis Rumer and Jacob Harris. Mr. Bowen passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the St. Catherine's Manor.

Brooks, Dolores Rittenhouse  
The funeral for Dolores Rittenhouse Brooks, 80, of Washington Court House was held Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Sharon Hausman, pastor at the Somerset United Methodist Church, officiating. Pallbearers for the burial in Madison Mills Cemetery were Jon and Dan Smith, Jim Grim, Gene Gillenwater, Darryl Rheinscheld and Paul Rittenhouse. Her grandson, James Brooks, served as an honorary pallbearer. Mrs. Brooks, a retired accounts payable manager, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a resident since 2014.

Brooks, Dolores Rittenhouse  
Dolores Rittenhouse Brooks, 80, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 8:05 p.m. at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a resident since September 23, 2014. Mrs. Brooks was born March 19, 1934, in Pickaway County, Ohio to Raymond Franklin and Mabel Carolyn Finley Rittenhouse. She lived most of her life in Madison Mills before moving to Washington Court House in March 2007. She was accounts payables manager for Mid-Ohio Chemical Company for 17 years before her retirement in 1992. Before that, she had worked 25 years for Hockman Grain and Feed Company in Madison Mills. Mrs. Brooks was associated with the Madison Mills United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brooks on March 24, 2007; by three brothers, Paul, Donald and Carroll Rittenhouse; a sister, Karen Rittenhouse and a sister-in-law, Rose Ivie Duncan. Mrs. Brooks is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, J. David and Kathy Brooks of Mount Airy, MD; a daughter, Lora Brooks and her husband, Tony Maika, of Columbus; three grandchildren, James Brooks and his wife, Stephanie, of Taneytown, MD, Kelly Prigge and her husband, Ron, of Colorado Springs, CO and Katie Dziadik and her husband, Dan, of Torrington, Conn.; nine great grandchildren, Cameron, Savannah and Summer Brooks, Tobin, Brianna, Tazlyn and Teegan Prigge, Braxton and Alyssa Dziadik; a sister, Rosemary Smith of West Jefferson, OH; she was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and had many friends. The funeral will be Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11 a. m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Sharon Hausman, pastor at the Somerset United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison Mills Cemetery.
